"S. Andrew"
Waterfront Dock Renovation & Composite Decking Upgrade
Location: Pompano Beach, FL
About this project
The S. Andrew Project was a complete waterfront dock facelift in Pompano Beach designed to modernize both the functionality and appearance of the existing marine structure while maintaining the original dock footprint. The project focused on upgrading aging structural components, improving boater accessibility, and enhancing the overall waterfront aesthetic for everyday use and entertaining.
APH Marine Construction removed the existing dock system and installed a brand-new dock substructure engineered for long-term durability in South Florida’s marine environment. The upgraded dock was finished with premium composite decking, providing a low-maintenance, slip-resistant surface built to withstand constant sun, saltwater exposure, and heavy foot traffic. As part of the renovation, the team also constructed a dedicated boarding platform adjacent to the boat lift, creating a safer and more convenient transition point for boarding and accessing the vessel. To elevate the overall design, Dek-O-Block pile finish systems were installed throughout the dock, adding a clean, polished architectural detail that significantly enhanced the waterfront appearance. Integrated dock lighting was strategically incorporated throughout the structure to create warmth and character within the backyard environment while maintaining a subtle, refined presence along the waterway. The final result is a highly functional waterfront space that blends durability, safety, and elevated coastal design.
